Seu caso é debian 5 né?
Faça o backup do seu conf e desinstale seu dhcp.
Listando:
# dpkg -l | grep dhcp
ii dhcp3-client 3.1.1-6+lenny6 DHCP client
ii dhcp3-common 3.1.1-6+lenny6 common files used by all the dhcp3* packages
ii dhcp3-server
Removendo:
# dpkg --purge dhcp3-server
(Lendo banco de dados ... 70755 ficheiros e directórios actualmente instalados.)
Removendo dhcp3-server ...
Stopping DHCP server: dhcpd3!
Expurgando arquivos de configuração de dhcp3-server ...
Processando gatilhos para man-db ...
Listando Novamente:
# dpkg -l | grep dhcp
ii dhcp3-client 3.1.1-6+lenny6 DHCP client
ii dhcp3-common 3.1.1-6+lenny6 common files used by all the dhcp3* packages
Reinstalando:
# aptitude install dhcp3-server
ou
# apt-get install dhcp3-server
Só lembrando que o sources.list do debian5 mudou para archive
