então como faço pra encontrar esse pacote?? pois já tentei de tudo e meu mouse continua sem funcionar.

No Debian o atheros ar3012 vem pelo pacote firmware-atheros no Ubuntu pode ter outro nome.


apt-cache search AR3012

firmware-atheros - Binary firmware for Atheros wireless cards


O tutorial fala para add um repositório ppa e baixar o pacote linux-firmware. Antes de fazer algo verifique se realmente vem com atheros ar3012 nele.

Busca no arquivo changelog sobre AR3012.

Ex:
