Linux Single User Installation
During the installation, you will need your serial number (located on the license envelope or CD jewel case).
To install Maple 9.5 on your Linux® operating system, read and complete the following tasks.

Pre-installation Instructions
1. Check the Linux Single User System Requirements.
2. Ensure you have appropriate read and write privileges.
3. Log on to the account that will own the Maple files. This is usually the root account.
Install Maple
1. Ensure that you have reviewed the Pre-installation Instructions.
2. Run the installMapleLinuxSU, located on the Maple 9.5 CD. To run the installer in console mode, use the -i console option.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. When prompted to select an install directory, select a directory with write access. If you are creating a new directory, ensure that you have write access to the parent directory. By default, Maple 9.5 will install to HOME/maple9.5, where HOME is your home directory. For example, /usr/jsmith/maple9.5.
You are ready to use Maple 9.5.

detalhe: eu já instalei o egcs-1.1.2 aqui e tambem nao deu certo. fica dando o mesmo erro.
