Amigos do VOL - Forum Iniciantes: - Preciso Muito da Ajuda de Vocês!

Neste Momento - para Resolver sobre a Mensagem que Aparece constante Na Tela em ingles que diz: "You Should Update Your System" e Continua: "There are 31 security updates available".
Imagino que seja Atualização do meu Debian Wheezy e pergunto:

- O que devo fazer para Atualizar conforme penso que solicita a Mensagem citada?

Adquiri uma Webcam mas só de conecta-la na Porta USB - não aconteceu nada (como se faz no Windows).

2 => O que devo fazer para que a mesma funcione?

3 => Da mesma forma - baixei aqui o Virtual Box mas não sei:

como fazer para Descompactar e Instalar o Virtual Box que baixei neste PC?

é o seguinte faz os updates necessários, após isso você pluga a camera dá um dmesg e posta a saida e de um lspci e poste tb a saida.

pois normalmente as cameras usb de hj são plug and play. eu tenho uma aqui novinha da fortrek, que mal foi usada, pois o meu pc quebrou um pouco depois de ter conseguido a camera.

no meu note roda tanto a que vem nele quanto esta.


só que dai você vai precisar ou do cheese ou do gucview, para fazer uns testes.

tb tem um programa chamado gstreamer-properties, que dá para vc selecionar a cam e testar.

Obrigado annakamilla pela atenção. Ocorre, que Como cito no Pedido, NÃO SEI como proceder para fazer primeiramente o UpDate (meu Debian envia inumeras MSGs informando que tem 40 atualizações disp). Usei o comando #apt - veja abaixo:

Quanto a Instalar a WebCam (tenho dua = uma na cx.(microsoft lifecam) e outra mais antiga que usava no Windows (LG) e não consigo instala-la. Me desculpe - NÃO entendi suas Instruções abaixo. O que é "dá um dmesg?" e o que é "dê um lspci?".
Se puder me ajudar (bem como outros Amigos do Forum), agradeço,
pois o Debian Wheezi - até já está sendo substituido pelo "jessie" (acho que é esse o nome) e eu ainda não consegui INSTALAR NENHUM
PROGRAMA no meu Debian que veio com este PC novo - há 3 meses!

Quanto a Instalar a WebCam (tenho dua = uma na cx.(microsoft lifecam) e outra mais antiga que usava no Windows (LG) e não consigo instala-la. Me desculpe - NÃO entendi suas Instruções abaixo. O que é "dá um dmesg?" e o que é "dê um lspci?".

Quanto a Instalar a WebCam (tenho dua = uma na cx.(microsoft lifecam) e outra mais antiga que usava no Windows (LG) e não consigo instala-la. Me desculpe - NÃO entendi suas Instruções abaixo. O que é "dá um dmesg?" e o que é "dê um lspci?".
Se puder me ajudar (bem como outros Amigos do Forum), agradeço,
pois o Debian Wheezi - até já está sendo substituido pelo "jessie" (acho que é esse o nome) e eu ainda não consegui INSTALAR NENHUM

Bem Vindo minha geração.

1-Primo di tuto

Para atualizar o sistema (é isso que está escrito em inglês na pergunta) precisa ser root, mas antes de tudo procure no menu do debian "usuários e grupos"
(Users and Groups) .

Porque da coisa.
Porque você precisa dar premissão de sudoer
su de super usuário
doer de fazerdor (to do =fazer doer =fazedor) ao seu login.

Ao clicar em usários e grupos abre um applet (uma janelinha) gráfica e daí em diante escolha gerenciar grupos.
Abre uma porção de nomes feios, precisa ir clicando em uma por uma e marcar o quadradinho dando os poderes máqicos ao seu usuário.

2-Depois de resolver o item 1 .
Se náo resolver o item 1
digite no terminal
su
de a seha do root que você colocou na instalação (lembra dela?)
Ainda bem!

depois do su e da senha
synaptic

Para atualizar o seu sistema (se resolveu o item 1)
sudo synaptic

O synaptic é gráfico.

No menu editar pode procurar o botãozinho "marque atualizações"
Se funcionar clique na asinha verde aplicar.
Você tem que estar conectado na internet.


3-Webcam
Tudo fácil, mas ninguém te conta que tem que instalar o apoio que é o v4lin ou v4l (video for linux) e os outros pacotes de v4l.
Depois instale o cheese e/ou camorama.
Para a achar qualquer pacote procure o botão buscar no alto do menu do synaptic
digite o nome do pacote ou parte do nome e ele acha tudo que se parece com ele. Daí é só marcar e instalar.


Qua mais mesmo?

(Vais precisar, pois estou supondo que a instação esteja correta).

Virtual box

Copie o arquivo que você baixou para o /home/seu_login

Depois disso abra um gerenciador de arquivo e clique com o botão direito do mouse sobr o arquivo qu evocÊ BAIXOU.
Escolha propriedades> e premissões.

Na janelinha de permissões temuma caixa para marcar na parte de baixo com um esccrito assim: Permitir execução bla bla bla.

Depois abra um terminal
cd /home/seu_login

ls
enter
vai listar a coisa toda.
su
(DÊ A SENHA DO ROOT)
./nome_do_arquivo_do_virtual_box

enter
Ele instala
o COMANDO É PONTO BARRA NOME DO ARQUIVO SEM ESPAÇO.

O LINUX NÃO VAI ALTERAR O SISTEMA SE VOCÊ NÃO FOR SU OU SUDO.
Boa sorte.

PS: Se tiver que bancar o expert para consertar esse bicho instale o Xubuntu,é mais fácil de dar um jeito.
Infelizmente esse Debian (que eu estou usando) veio complicado, quero dizer deu um trabalho danado para configurar.

esqueci que o debian é enxuto.

tente dar um su root digite a senha e, instale o v4l2
ele m
ou procure no synaptic o programa que ele mostra e selecione para a instalação
