Não consigo instalar nem desinstalar programas [RESOLVIDO]

Ae pessoas. tava qrendo desinstalar o wine, e instalar um joguinho de xadrez. mas olha so minha gente, vou até a central de programas do ubuntu escolho o programa e clico em instalar ou remover.Bem até ae ta tdo bem, mas ae fica uma mensagem assim:
"Waiting for apt-get for exit", essa mensagem fica horas e horas e não instala nem remove programa nenhum.
Então aos que responderem, meus agredecimentos.

$ sudo killall apt-get
$ sudo killall dpkg
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get --purge remove wine
$ sudo apt-get autoremove --purge

se colar, colou!

e não colou...hehehe..

qnto aos dois primeiros comandos a reposta foi; processo não achado

no comando; sudo apt-get --purge remove wine. A resposta foi; Você terá que executar apt-get update para corrigir estes problemas

qndo dou o comando apt-get update aparece vários erros e no final fica pedindo o seguinte;

Troca de mídia: por favor, insira o disco nomeado
'Ubuntu 6.06 _Dapper Drake_ - Release i386 (20060531)'
na unidade '/cdrom/' e pressione enter

Os erros desse ultimo comando são;

Eu não uso ppa no meu ubuntu e linuxmint...pq sempre que vejo alguem c/ problemas esse tal de ppa tá no meio... não sei se é coincidencia ou só implicancia minha mesmo
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get remove wine
É o que eu ,mero clicador, faria!
Mas a fera aqui é o edinaldo!

para remover as dependencias!

edps... ele tá usando ubuntu 6.06 com ppa do ubuntu 10.10... isso não funcionaria nunca...ou funcionaria?

Também acho que em 'Canais de Software', a opção: 'Instaláveis de CD-ROM ou DVD' está marcada.
Se estiver, desmarque.
