Pela mensagem, o arquivo esta errado.
Tente abrir o arquivo. Seu conteúdo era para ser algo como :.

Não. O correto era isso:


mkdir /lib/firmware/b43
cp ucode15.fw /lib/firmware/b43


Essa busca q vc fez não faz sentido, uma vez q o problema não é a falta dos módulos, mas da firmware.

Essa busca q vc fez não faz sentido, uma vez q o problema não é a falta dos módulos, mas da firmware.

Não sei se ajuda.

Mas uma vez usei uma senha complexa e o nome da rede possuia espaço, o que deu em um wpa_supplicant.conf praticamente danificado. Ou seja a chave PSK não foi gerada corretamente. Então precisei gerar a chave PSK na tela mesmo e consertar o wpa_supplicant.conf

Seria interessante você testar com SSID simples tipo: internet
E senha simples tipo: 12345678

Apenas para testes.

Também não entendi porque está usando um Slack desatualizado, se na prática não faria tanta diferença de velocidade entre as versões, além do Kernel mais novo funcionar melhor e ter mais suportes a drivers de placas wireless.

Lembrando também que a cada vez que dá erro é bom você matar completamente o wpa_supplicant com o comando:
dhclient -r
killall wpa_supplicant

Outra idéia seria você testar por exemplo com o Networkmanager para ter certeza se é um problema de Hardware, Software, ou mesmo de configuração de apenas um ou outro programa. Ou da própria placa de rede.
