Outras coisas que pode tentar,
A.remova tudo de nvidia e nouveau, depois reinstale o kernel, o xorg-server e o xorg-drivers, ainda sem drivers
de boot no novo kernel e então, re-instale o driver propretário
B. descarregue o módulo NVIDIA do kernel e depois o re-adicione:
# rmmod -v nvidia
# modprobe nvidia

Olá. Vou tentar todos os procedimentos que vocês citaram (Vou instalar outro debian em outra partição depois), para aprender como se instala os drivers à antiga e da forma que usa os pacotes proprios do Debian.
Em relação aos erros da instalação. Eles são os mesmos sim, só que eu acho que não soube explicar. O primeiro aparece que eu uso o comando startx, o segundo é o que o arquivo localizado em /var....(indicado pelo erro que acontece no startx) mostra.
