ola amigo, eu substitui o meu xorg.conf pela sua configuraçao, funcionou blz, o problema eh que sempre que o pc entra em proteçao de tela ele trava, e acontece o mesmo qdo tento jogar o game planet penguin race, isso estava acontecendo antes qdo instalei os drivers "xorg-driver-fglrx" e "xorg-driver-fglrx-dev" entao removi o "xserver-xorg-driver-ati" mas continua travando, vc sabe o que pode estar acontecendo, a minha placa eh uma ati radeon 9600 xt e estou usando o ubuntu 6.06 vlw!!!!

Amigo, tu sabes se esse .conf funcionaria para o Mandriva 2007? Eu to querendo usar o desktop 3d, mas estou com várias problemas...

Pra kurumin serve nao é? tmbm tenho uma radeon 9600 pro e to com uma dificuldade tremenda de instalar. É só copiar tudo q esta ai no meu xorg.conf e salvar? Obrigado!

Tenho uma ATI Radeon 9600 e tentei instalar o driver ATI que baixei
do site da AMD/ATI. A última versão é a 8365, lançada pouco antes do
Feitsy. O site indica que esta versão roda no X.Org 7.1. Estou usando
o Ubuntu Studio, que faz uso do X.Org 7.2. Ele não instalou o driver,
retornando a seguinte mensagem:

É possível instalar este driver? Como proceder? É recomendado?

A minha aceleração 3D não está ativada:

Fui no link "http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Feisty_Installation_Guide" e parece que a segunda opção é a solução, mas, sinceramente, meu inglês é muito canhestro e não entendi de todo o procedimento.
