configurar som no backtrack5 [RESOLVIDO]

tenho o sistema operacional backtrack5 r2 gnome em meu noot acer aspire 3680, mas o som nao funciona ja tentei o alsamixer e coloquei os volumes no maximo. quando entro em sistema configuraçoes de som , aparece uma mensagem , esperando resposta do sistema de audio. tambem instalei o controle de volume do pulse audio. mas ele tambem trava.
alguem sabe como resolver isso, preiso de ajuda vou postar um lspci

ja consegui configurar, o problema era no icone de altofalante que aparece no monitor, e soclicar em totalmente mudo e depois em retirar mudo, pelo menos assim funcionou.
