Atualizei o linux para a versão 15.10, há um mês, e agora ele não desliga mais.
Uso um Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series I7 com 16 gb de ram e placa de vídeo AMD Radeon.
Já fiz o seguinte:
$ sudo update-grub
e depois
$ sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
e mudei a linha
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
para
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi=force"
mas não surtiu efeito.
