Boa tarde...
To tentando usar o centOS 5.5 instalei e configurei o squid, mais qnd configuro o navegador em outro pc da erro (proxy ñ responde); sendo que pingo a conexão e está tudo ok.

Se o proxy não responde, provavelmente o squid não subiu. Verifique isso rodando o squid dessa forma:

# squid -NCd1
