1. Configuração do snmp em UBUNTU [RESOLVIDO]

Alguém pode me ajudar, estou tentando utilizar o cacti para monitoramento de rede.
porém não consigo inserir outros computadores com ubuntu nesse monitoramento.
ele reconhece o computador local porém os demais não reconhece, dando erro no snmp.
Instalei nos computadores a serem gerenciados o snmpd, devo fazer alguma configuração para aceitar acesso externo?
Como faço. Os tutoriais que achei para a configuração do /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf e /etc/default/snmp são para Debian. Acredito ser diferente, pois não encontro as linhas mencionadas por eles nos arquivos do Ubuntu.

Antes d tudo, vc deve testar se a máquina inserida no cacti responde às requisições SNMP, dessa forma:


snmpwalk -v 2c -c nome_comunidade ip_da_maquina system


Se obtiver resposta, blz. Caso contrário, verifique se o serviço está realmente habilitado e configurado corretamente, fazendo os msm comandos acima localmente, depois teste remotamente. Note q estou usando a versão 2c do SNMP para consultar.

Localmente ela responde, mas para outra máquina da no response from ip da outra máquina.

Então pode ser configuração do seu snmpd. Poste o seu snmpd.conf aki.

Deixe assim:

Tá no começo do arquivo. Reinicie o serviço e tente d novo.

MRTG? Prefira o cacti, pois possui muito mais funções e é mais intuitivo...

Sim, eu sei, porém estou fazendo um projeto de conclusão do curso que é um comparativo de ambas as ferramentas.
o cacti já entendi um pouco mais fácil o funcionamento, o mrtg que está mais complicado
