boa noite amigos...sou novato em linux e estou com dificuldades em configurar o acesso externo do meu servidor ftp.
ja vi e revi todo o script e nao condigo ver oq ha de errado..estou apostando no firewall..pois utilizei o comando nmap -v `meu ip` e me traz a seguinte mensagem
All 1000 scanned ports on 192.168.0.233 are closed

ja usei o ufw e o iptables..mas a oprta 21 nao abriu...

fiz um nat no modem direcionando para o meu ip local 192.168.0.233 colocando a porta 2121...

detalhe: o ubuntu esta virtualizado no citrix..xenserver...nao sei se ocasionaria algum problema

entao..oq fazer...a baixo o script

desde ja agradeço a ajuda..

Cara, você tentou entrar de uma maquina local na mesma rede(com mesma faixa de ip da rede)? ex: sua maquina 192.168.0.10 e a outra maquina 192.168.0.12.

Qual é a mensagem de erro do ftp cliente? (vc usa Putty?)

veja se o serviço do proftpd está rodando, digite:
# ps -aux

veja se localiza na lista a linha:
proftpd 1911 0.0 0.0 34332 684 ? Ss Jun03 0:12 proftpd: (accepting connections)

veja que no meu exemplo o proftpd está aceitando conexões.

depois veja se a porta esta LISTEN(escutando) com o comando netstat -ant

vai parece as portas abertas, veja se tem na lista algo como:
tcp6 0 0 :::21 :::* LISTEN
ou
tcp6 0 0 0.0.0:21 :::* LISTEN

post aqui o resultado do seu ps -aux e netstat -ant

desative o firewall(só pra testar..)

quando vc digita: "/etc/init.d/proftpd start" ele roda normal?
exemplo do proftpd iniciando normalmente:
* Starting ftp server proftpd [ OK ]


outra, você disse q redirecionou a porta 2121 no roteador, mais no seu proftpd.conf está a "port 21"

Este 192.168.0.233 é o seu ip externo? se for roda um telnet, posta o resultado.
telnet 192.168.0.233 2121

outra coisa... no firewall você fez um redirecionamento de porta? porque no seu proftpd.conf está a porta 21 e no seu firewall está 2121
