Problema com audio dos Heaphones no Ubuntu 12.10

Gente eu estou com um problema com o audio do note. É o seguinte: o som funciona normal caixa de som do laptop mas quando conecta o fone não sai som algum.
Eu verifiquei que ao utilizar o comoando $alsamixer o som do heaphone estava zerado e não importava o quanto fosse pressiona as tecla "pra cima" ou "pra baixo" nem pressionando a tecla "m" (para tirar do mudo). O alsamixer instalado é
1.0.25.

Já testando outra distro, que contem o alsamixer 1.0.24, o audio heaphone estava "manipulável"

Como resolvo esse problema?
