Ola pessoal.

Minha duvida esta dando um trabalho danado para começar a ser solucionada.

Tinha Mint 10 no pc e quase tudo funcionava bem, exceto o som pelo HDMI, mas o restante até que ia bem.
Instalei o Mint 15 e as portas usb não funcionam... Como percebi isso? Não tem mouse e nem teclado.
Uso um kit da Logitech MK320 Wireless e nada de o sistema trabalhar com esse periféricos. Mesmo em modo Live DVD não funciona nenhuma porta, seja usb 2.0 ou 3.0.
Tenho um HD externo em uma das portas e o mesmo não é detectado pelo sistema Mint 15.

O que posso fazer para começar a resolver isso?

Note que eu não tenho como digitar ou clicar em nada, a não ser que eu conecte um teclado PS2 e que as vezes funciona mal.

Já troquei as midias, já baixei outros ISO´s e nada feito.

Meu PC é: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3, AMD FX8350, 8gb Corsair, SSD Samsung 840, ATI Sapphire HD5450, Monitor 32" Samsung LED, Gravador DVD Slim Liteon, Fonte Corsair CX430w, Kit Logitech MK320 Wireless

Verifica se as portas USBs não estão desabilitadas no setup. Caso contrário, muito provavelmente o SO não possui módulos correspondentes para suprir a demanda do teu hardware. Neste caso, é necessário que entre no site do fabricante e baixe os módulos respectivos e os instale. Conecta um teclado ou mouse ps2 e realiza a instalação.

Isso parece mais problema de hardware, A sugestão do amigo acima de verificar a habilitação (ENABLE) das USB´s é sábia.

Sugiro testar com outro live qualquer como debian ou ubuntu 13.04.

O Mint é derivado do ubuntu, que é a distro que mais reconhece hardware. Teria que supor que o MINT 15 está bugado, é plausível, coisas acontecem, mas pouco provável.

Já verifiquei o setup e tudo esta ok por lá.
Quando uso o Windows 7 tudo funciona normal, então acho que são as distribuições mesmo, já tentei o Mint 13 tambem e não funcionou.
Só roda bem com o Mint 10, mas o HDMI não funciona som...

Vou tentar Ubuntu e openSuse, mesmo as duas usando pacotes diferentes quero fazer o teste...

Com o openSUSE tudo tranquilo, funciona tudo.
Agora com o Mint 15 e 13 nada feito mesmo.

Galera nesse momento estou usando o Linux Mint 10 64 bits, pois foi o unico que rodou com 90% dos meus componetes.
E quero rodar o Mint 15 mas não funfa teclado, mouse, som, rede...

Eu resolvi o problema. Eu procurei na internet na placa-mãe 990FXA-UD3 e encontrei algumas pessoas com o mesmo problema em um fórum do Ubuntu.
Para resolver isso, basta entrar na BIOS e configure para habilitar, a opção IOMMU.
Simples ...
