GOOGLE CHROME NÃO ABRE. [RESOLVIDO]

Bom dia pessoal, estou com um "baita" problema. Instalei o Google Chrome e ele não quer funcionar de jeito nenhum. Já pesquisei aqui no VOL e praticamente fiz todos os procedimentos informados e mesmo assim ele não roda. Meu Ubuntu é o 10.04, alguma alma caridosa pode resolver este "abacaxi" para mim??? Aguardo.

Vai no terminal e roda o comando

 sudo apt-get purge google-chrome*  

Abre seu sources.list e descomente as linhas dos repositórios partner (você pode seguir esta dica aqui http://www.vivaolinux.com.br/dica/Flash-Java-Skype-Google-Chrome-e-outros-aplicativos-Instalacao-no-..., ela serve pra sua versão do Ubuntu também). Volte ao terminal e rode

 sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable

Porque você não instala a versão OpenSource do Chrome, o Chromium? Eu uso ele aqui já faz um bom tempo, principalmente porque o Chrome quando atualizou aqui começou a dar uns bugs estranhos no Youtube...

Infelizmente tenho que continuar a utilizar o 10.04 porque trabalho num laboratório de informática educativa na escola e todos os computadores estão utilizando esta versão.

Vou tentar instalar o Chromium.

Bom dia pessoal, como as minhas tentativas de instalar o Google Chrome ou o Chromium no Ubuntu 10.04, aqui na escola, não deram certo e as informações prestadas pelos colegas aqui do VOL foram realizadas mas também não surtiram efeito positivo, resolvi fazer um upgrade para o Ubuntu 12.04. Obrigado pela força. Um abraço.
