estou tendo problemas na hora de instalar um pacote (abgx360-1.0.6.tar.gz). Acontece o seguinte problema:

Sim, o GUI é o programa que faz ele poder ser executado fora do terminal. Esse erro que apareceu se deve ao fato que você não tem o wx-common instalado no seu computador. Instale esse pacote

 $ sudo apt-get install wx-common

E então rode

 $ ./configure --prefix=/usr

$ sudo make

$ sudo install

Compilar coisas não costuma ser difícil, chapa. O mais difícil é descobrir como resolver esses errinhos que aparecem. Por exemplo, a mensagem me diz que um tal de wxWigets precisaria estar instalado, e me fala sobre um comando chamado wx-config pra testar isso. Eu que não sou bobo vou em http://packages.ubuntu.com/ e pesquiso qual é o pacote que me provê esse wx-config, e assim eu acho o wx-common ;-)

Você instalou o build-essential no seu sistema? Sem esse pacote, você não vai compilar porra nenhuma, saca?

você tem alguma outra alternativa pra instalar esse abgx?

Eu não conheço esse abgx não, mas me parece que o problema começou lá no configure: o default directory da instalação desse programa parece ser o /usr/local, e as Debian-like tem problemas com esse diretório. Faz assim: roda

 $ ./configure --prefix=/usr

$ make

$ sudo make install

Pra ver se vai.
