Linux Mint não faz update

Depois q colei 1 linha d comando no Terminal p/ fazer funcionar o Netflix, zuou tudo no meu sistema Linux Mint Olivia.
O Netflix não funcionou e a partir dai o Update Manager só da problemas. Nao aceita + nenhum pacote novo e nao instala + nada. A cada tentativa da nisso:

Pra completar ele nao aceita nenhum software q tento baixar e instalar com o comando 'apt-get install'. Respondendo:

user-pc user # apt-get install

E qualquer single package q tento instalar, por exemplo o Forecast, apt-get install forecast:

-as linah que não atualizam dão do raring , ubuntu-13.04, que já está sem suporte... não irá atualizar... qual linuxmint vc está usando ??

Boa noite,

Mint 15 já está sem suporte há tempos. Baixe o 17 "qiana" com suporte até 04/2019. Tudo lá rodará sem problemas.

Se eu fizer upgrade p/ o Mint 17, os itens deletados da lixeira ainda podem ser resgatados com o Forecast ou com o Scalp?

O google-chrome ja aceita o netflix nao precisa instalar nada!http://www.techtudo.com.br/noticias/noticia/2014/10/netflix-chega-oficialmente-ao-ubuntu-chrome-fas-de-linux-comemorem.html Funciona no mint porque mint e um ubuntu com uns enfeites e codecs a mais ;-)

To tentando instalar o 'foremost' p/ recuperar, mas o sist. nao aceita a instalaçao

Boa noite,

Olha cara, nesta sua situação, não sei o que podemos fazer p/ te ajudar. Se já perdeu seus arquivos, mude seu sistema. Como o Agnaldo informou, o mint é o Ubuntu "enfeitado". Vc pode continuar com ele, sem problemas(mint 17), ou baixar o ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS. Só não perca mais tempo com uma versão sem suporte.

Fica a sugestão!

Eu nao sou o Clodoaldo mais e simples pra resolver isso

sudo apt-get install foremost 

E pra recuperar os arquivos

sudo fdisk-l 

sudo foremost -t all -i /dev/o nome da sua partiçao -T

-eu tenho uma duvida : dá pra instalar um programa direto dos repositorios de uma distro que já não tem mais suporte? pq antes terá que rodar o update e upgrade e vai dar erro não vai não?
