Senhores,
Estou com um problema quando instalo o Debian 4.0r3 no meu Notebook. Tudo funciona legal, mas quando o X roda, a imagem do desktop não estã ficando totalmente preenchida pelo debian . . .
Esta ficando uma parte bem grande da tela do Note Preta . . .
tentei resolver com a resolução, mas ainda não deu certo.
O que Fazer?

Amigo, vc ja tentou olhar se o driver proprietario da placa de video esta correto? Verifique no xorg.conf
Antes de altera-lo melhor fazer uma copia de backup..
Veja se o X nao esta usando o driver generico. É o que esta parecendo.

Desculpe a ignorância companheiro, mas onde coloco esse parametro,xorg.conf?
Coloquei no terminal, mas não deu certo.

o arquivo texto está no diretório /etc/X11/xorg.conf e só pode ser editado pelo root, para os demais usuários ele é read only.
O arquivo assusta um pouco mas é a configuração do X para teclado, mouse e vídeo.

Primeiro precisa descobrir qual o chip da sua olaca de video
comando
lspci
Vai listar um monte de coisa procure a palavra video e anote o que saiu por perto.
Com fabricante e modelo é mais fácil achar o driver e instalar.
Poste aqui.

Desculpa a falta de simplicidade na dica, eu fui o culpado por nao ser mais simples,
mas o amigo acima explicou bem o funcionamento do xorg.conf..
Siga os passos que ele disse e conforme for surgindo duvidas va postando aqui..

Essa linha acima é sua placa de video.. Vc tera de encontrar o driver dela para linux.. Ou algo compativel...

Senhores,
minha Placa de Vídeo: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 com tecnologia Intel Clear Vídeo e Placa Mãe (Chipset): Intel GL960 Express.
Baixei um driver, mas ainda não deu certo.

Não tenho certeza se o drive certo é esse?!?@
E também não tenho certeza de como instalar o drive de video.
Postem uma ajuda aí galera!!!!
