The 2017 Billboard Music Awards will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 21, 2017. The list of nominees was announced on April 10, 2017.

The nominees were announced on May 21, 2017, with The Chainsmokers & Drake earning the most nominations with twenty two. Cher is set to receive the Billboard Icon Award.

Performances are expected from Lorde, Ed Sheehan, Miley Cyrus (performing her image-shifting new single “Malibu”), Celine Dion (singing “My Heart Will Go On” ), Camila Cabello (“Crying in the Club” “I Have Questions” (Encore Xfinity exclusive)), Drake, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Sam Hunt, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Julia Michaels and Nicki Minaj (who will open the show with Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo and David Guetta). And then there’s Cher, this year’s ICON Award Recipient, also set to take the stage.
