Galera, depois de vários problemas com a configuração do driver XGA, estou postando aqui a configuração do meu servidor X. Esta configuração foi feita para o Notebook ECS A532.
Depois de fazer testes com várias distros (Slack 11, Mandriva 2007, OpenSuSE 10,2, Fedora 5), percebi que em todas a situações o driver era reconhecido pelo Kernel, mas na hora de iniciar o servidor X a tela ficava branca, causando o travamento do sistema.
As configurações abaixo solucionam estes problemas, no meu caso uso mouse e teclado USB, talvez seja necessário uma configuração destes periféricos caso use uma configuração diferente.
