Erro ao iniciar o Linux

Olá Galera
A cerca de 2 semanas resolvi instalar o Ubuntu junto com windows 10, instalação ok, precisei montar o Grub e deu tudo certo, porém devido a um descuido quando estava no sistema Ubuntu ao desligar acabei deslisgando direto no estabilizador sem fazer logout, porém ao tentar ligar novamente o Ubuntu aparece a seguinte tela de erro:

Então gostaria de saber se é possível recuperar esse Ubuntu sem precisar formatar a partição e instalar de novo

Tem que iniciar um Live(cd, dvd, pendrive) e rodar o comando acima. (e2fsck). Pesquise sobre. (é só um caminho a seguir)

o caso complicou um pouco mais, não estou conseguindo lembrar o nome do usuário, mas acho q a senha eu lembro, é possível recuperar, devo usar o terminal ou o modo texto
