Wifi não funciona!

Bom dia a todos!
Sou novo como usuário Linux e também novo em TI.
Eu comprei um notebook sim+ 750 de hd 8 de ram core i5 windows 8 já incluso. Com muito custo consegui formatar e instalar Linux Mint 15 Olivia 64 bit. O problema é que não consigo conectar redes wireless, ele nem identifica, com o windows 8 ele navegava muito bem. Se eu conectar um cabo na entrada RJ45 ele navega normalmente, e se eu colocar na porta usb um Adaptador USB Wireless G 54Mbps ele também navega. Eu queria navegar normalmente sem adaptadores ou cabo, já que a função no notebook é mobilidade.

já verificou se tem driver proprietário ?

Verifique o resultado do comando 'lspci'.

Verifique nas linhas se há algo parecido com essa linha:

12:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01)

Assim você consegue verificar qual é o fabricante do hardware par poder instalar o driver...
