1. Configuração do Samba [RESOLVIDO]

Bom dia

Tenho em uma maquina instalado o debian 5, no qual já tive problemas para instalar o samba por causa de dependências que eu tinha apagado os diretórios, e depois copiei de outra maquina e coloquei lá e resolveu por parte meu problema. Agora aparece o samba como instalado e rodando o serviço só que fiz a configuração no smb.conf que faço normalmente compartilhando uma pasta chamada "informatica" no / e crio no samba o usuário administrador, mas não está me pedindo autenticação. Quando busco o compartilhamento a partir de uma maquina windows aparece como se não encontrasse o caminho.
A única coisa que altero é: descomento a linha security = user e depois escrevo no final do arquivo o diretório que vou compartilhar.
Alguém sabe o que pode estar acontecendo? valew!

Rodrigo, tente rodar o "testparm /caminho/do/smb.conf" e nos disponibilize o resultado, bem como o do "netstat -tan | grep 139"

Edite seu smb.conf e adicione a linha a seguir, logo abaixo da TAG Network

interfaces = lo ethx # Onde "x" é o numero da sua interface que responde pelo SAMBA

Reinicie o SAMBA e execute o testparm e netstat e poste os resultados

Fiz a alteração em interface = 127.0.0.1/8 eht1, antes estava eth0,alterei assim pois eth1 é a rede interna e eth0 é a placa que chega internet no pc, e executei os comandos que você falou e as saídas foram essa:

Boa tarde

Não funcionou, aparece a mesma coisa quando tento acessar o compartilhamento de uma maquina windows, que não acha o diretório, nem autenticação pede.
Tem alguma idéia, do que pode estar acontecendo?

Como está o firewall onde o SAMBA está instalado? Digite "iptables -nvL" e certifique que as portas 135:139 estejam liberadas.

o nome do grupo em seu pc Windows tbm é WORKGROUP igual está no seu smb.conf??

Quando o diborsoi comentou do firewall e fui ver estava faltando uma regra que deixava esse servidor achar a rede que uso, com ip 192.168.1.X, Resolvido inserindo a linha que liberava esse acesso.
que eh assim:

/sbin/iptables -A INPUT -s 192.168.1.0/24 -j ACCEPT
