problemas para instalar placa wireless D-link G510 no ubuntu

Olá pessoal.

Estou com problema para instalar uma placa wireless D-link, até já achei uns drivers para seu possivel funcionamento só que não consigo instalá-los.
Junto com os drivers peguei um readme em inglês tentei traduzir, más, a tradução ficou meio sem sentido, cheguei a descompactá-los (etapa 1). Abaixo um trecho do readme.

Building Linux-wlan-ng:

1) unpack the package with the command:

Tar xzf Linux-wlan-ng - XYZtar.gz

2) Make sure that you have configured the kernel and (optionally) pcmcia on sources
Your system. If you _only_ construction of the prism2_pci,
Prism2_plx, or prism2_usb drivers you do not need the pcmcia - cs
Tree source.

3) To set up Linux-wlan-ng package, run 'make'. The
Next set of questions will be asked. The answer is in default
Colchetes (for example, []). Just press Enter to select the standard answer:

Cara para placa sem fio
no ubunto normalmente ele ja instala sozinho
mais baixa ai o ndiswrapper
e tente instalar com ele.

Qualquer coisa.
