Configurei o Zabbix na distro Debian com os passos que segue abaixo
#aptitude install build-essential mysql-server
libmysqlclient15-dev php5 php5-gd php5-mysql snmp libsnmp-dev snmpd
libcurl3-dev apache2 fping curl
crie um usuário para o zabbix: #adduser zabbix
add o user no grupo adm: #adduser zabbix adm
Depois procurei no cache: apt-cache search zabbix e retornou
zabbix-agent, zabbix-frontend-php, zabbix-server-mysql e instalei esses pacotes pelo apt-get em seguida.
#vim /etc/mysql/my.cnf
alterei bind-address = 127.0.0.1 para bind-address = 0.0.0.0
reinicie o mysql: #/etc/init.d/mysql restart
PHP version: 5.2.6-1+lenny13 Ok
PHP Memory limit: 128M OK
PHP post max size: 8M Ok
PHP mx execution time 30 sec Fail
PHP Databases support MySQL Ok
PHP BC math support yes Ok
GD Version: 2.0 or higher Ok
Image formats: PNG Ok
PHP Timezone: n/a Fail
SOLUÇÃO
resolvido editei o arquivo /etc/php5/apache2/php.init e alterei
max_execution_time=30 para 300
reiniciei o apache: /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
Em outra máquina da rede
http://IP-SERVER/zabbix
PHP version: 5.2.6-1+lenny13 Ok
PHP Memory limit: 128M Ok
PHP post max size: 8M Ok
PHP max execution time: 300 sec Ok
PHP Databases support: MySQL Ok
PHP BC math support yes Ok
GD Version: 2.0 or higher Ok
Image formats: PNG Ok
PHP Timezone: America/Sao_Paulo Ok
Agora as etapas do setup na interface zabbix continua normal, no final pede o password que definiu da base.
E agora só adicionar as máquinas no zabbix e analisar as máquinas pela interface web.
Feito!
