Boa noite galera...

Recentemente atualizei minha BIOS para melhorar o gerenciamento dos HD's no meu windows 8 que tenho dual boot com Ubuntu 14.10.
Pois bem, quando entrei no linux após a atualização da BIOS percebi que minha internet cabeada não se conectava e ficando com a mensagem

"Rede ethernet
desconectado"

Pesquisei demais na internet achei até uma página do próprio Ubuntu falando sobre o meu problema (acredito eu),
e eu como iniciante/intermediário no linux, nao obtive sucesso em realizar a instalação, por isso gostaria da atenção de vcs.

Falo com vcs de um adaptador usb wi-fi, tentarei passar alguns comandos e ideia do que já li, vamos lá...

Após ler muito na internet, encontrei um colega falando que esse chipset controla a ethernet via software então procurando,
achei esse link, que talvez seja o cara que irá solucionar todos os problemas porém nao sei instalar.

Você disse que tem dual boot com windows 8, mas não disse se a placa de rede está funcionando no windows 8. Já verificou isso?
A placa de rede é on board ou off board? Verifique na bios se a LAN não está desativada.

Opa amigo,obrigado pela atenção...

Então, no windows 8 funciona normalmente,
É onBoard e na BIOS ela esta ativada sim.

Atualizei pra Ubuntu 15 achando que poderia vir algum gerenciamento novo de rede ou algo do tipo,
porém sem sucesso.. continuo com mesmo erro.

O resultado do comando "ifconfig -a" deixou claro que você não está recebendo as configurações de IP.
Tente um # dhclient eth0 ou adicione os dados manualmente.

Opa amigo, mil desculpas pela demora, tive problemas pessoais.

Então o "# dhclient eth0" fica rodando sem mostrar nenhum resultado no terminal.

Já adicionando os dados manualmente:

# cat /etc/network/interfaces

# interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8)

auto lo

iface lo inet loopback



iface eth0 inet static

address 192.168.0.13

netmask 255.255.255.0

network 192.168.0.0

broadcast 192.168.0.255

Mesmo assim sem resultado....

Não sei mais o que fazer pro ethernet funcionar nessa máquina, e o problema que no windows ela funciona perfeitamente.

Drive do MCP61 Ethernet para linux...

Porém nao achei... =/

Nesse link o cara conseguiu resolver a rede,
porém nao sou fera no linux, logo fiquei a "ver navios"

Bom ñ sei como lhe ajudar mas tenho aqui em casa a mesma placa e sempre usei linux e win em dualboot e nunca tive problemas, cheguei a rodar o debian e o arch linux.

Será que você esta usando a BIOS correta?

OBS: tbm usava a ultima versão da BIOS.

7-> apt-cache search firmware | grep firmware | sort
Procure o pacote firmware mais adeguado a sua interface do apt-cache search
RESULTADO : firmware-iwlwifi - Binary firmware for intel wireless 3945

8-> Instale o mesmo e veja se a conxão está ok
ifconfig wlan0 up
ifoncig wlan0

Ctrl+c, Ctrl+v ???

O problema é na eth não na wlan.

Então campeão, eu já testei com todas as BIOS do site do fabricante, se bem me lembro são as P1.00, P1.10 e a P1.20, no momento me encontro com a P1.20.
