no teste, javac ocorreu como o esperado
no java OlaMundo o resultado é esse que se vê :

peço a gentileza que me ajudem ,ah quando eu estava utilizando o slackware 11
não ocorria este problema . hoje utilizo slackware 12.2

O nome do Arquivo é o mesmo nome da Classe??? Como o colega disse acima, poste o código, infelizmente ainda não temos bola de cristal... Mas pelo erro...
