Ubuntu 9.04 problema com HD Sata ou algum driver da placa-mãe [RESOLVIDO]

Comprei um computador cuja placa mãe é Asus M3A78-EM no qual existe um HD Sata e não consigo instalar o Ubuntu 9.04 . A mesma coisa aconteceu com o Mandriva One 2009 .

O Ubuntu 9.04 até parece começar a ser instalado, de tal forma que surge uma tela para que eu escolha a língua que quero que seja usada. A língua é escolhida e, após o sistema perguntar se eu quero que rodar o sistema apenas de forma experimental ou se quero instalá-lo, aparece a imagem com as cores e o emblema do Ubuntu seguido de um retângulo no centro da tela e dentro do qual aparece uma espécie de cursor indo de um lado a outro do retângulo (obs.: não é aquela imagem em que o retângulo vai enchendo aos poucos). Contudo, após alguns minutos a luzinha do gravador de cd e dvd simplesmente deixa de piscar e em algum momento a tela contendo interface gráfica dá lugar a tela escura com o cursor piscando como que aguardando um comando. Se eu dou um Control Alt Del para interromper o processo e sair da imagem gráfica, acontece a mesma coisa. Sai a imagem gráfica e surge a tela escura com um cursor piscando.

E assim fica a tela por minutos e mais minutos, e sem que a luz do gravador de cd e dvd sequer pisque.

Por que não consigo fazer rodar o Ubuntu através do gravador de cd e dvd nem instalá-lo? Será algum problema de reconhecimento de driver de componentes da placa-mãe? Ou será um problema de reconhecimento do HD Sata? Ou ambos?

1) E mais: quando tento instalar o Ubuntu 9.04 usando o próprio sistema operacional Windows, parece que a instalação será feita normalmente, mas em um certo momento os dois retângulos paralelos que estavam enchendo param de encher e surge a seguinte mensagem na caixa de diálogo: "An error occurred:", "Permission denied" e, por fim, "For more information, please see the log file: c:\docume~1\carlos\config~1\temp\wubi-9.04-rev128.log"

Alguém sabe o que essa mensagem significa?

Quando procuro no próprio Windows pelo conteúdo do caminho apontado pelo instalador do Ubuntu 9.04, o "c:\docume~1\carlos\config~1\temp\wubi-9.04-rev128.log" verifico que se trata de um bloco de notas .txt com o seguinte conteúdo:

olha eu adquiri uma placa desta faz poucos dias, estou usando normalmente o debian lenny, meu HD é um samsung de 500 sata também, e instalou certinho, usei o modo gráfico aqui sem problemas, estou usando as configurações padrões da bios, já tentou instalar em modo texto, qual a versão da sua bios?
pois ja tem 13 correções de bios, eu estou usando a penúltima a 1805, pois a última saiu uns dias depois que eu atualizei a minha, e só acrescenta mudanças de processadores.

Riesdra , agradeço-lhe muito por sua orientação.

Consegui instalar o Ubuntu 9.04 após baixar esse sistema faz poucos dias no formato .iso e gravá-lo em um DVD+R . Depois disso o boot se deu normalmente pelo CD e foi possível testar o Ubuntu 9.04 normalmente. É possível que o problema de não estar dando certo o boot do Ubuntu 9.04 tenha sido em razão de eu estar usando DVD+RW , e não DVD+R .

Só não quis gravá-lo ainda porque quero aprender melhor sobre como particionar adequadamente o HD e configurar a minha conexão de internet .
