Então rapaz, vejo que vc tem muito a aprender, leia a mensagem:
"

"
Ao teclar Y você aceitou (e corretamente) atualizar o pacman, feito isso basta repetir o:
# pacman -Syy
ou
# pacman -Syu
e somente a partir do primeiro você pode usar:
# pacman -S gimp
