Não quer instalar nada na central

oi pode me ajudar , meu ubunto éo 12.10 quando vou instalr algo na central nao quer aparecer a opção "instalar" e quando aparece da um erro sobre fonte independente ou algo assim se alguem me ajudaa

Eu nao recomendo usar ubuntu sem suporte mais como voce quer instalar programas faça o seguinte

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list 

Apague a sources.list e coloque essa no lugar

 ## EOL upgrade sources.list

deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ CODENAME main restricted universe multiverse

deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ CODENAME-updates main restricted universe multiverse

Coloque o quantal no lugar de codname,salve,feche e depois atualize

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Renomeie seu arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list para source.list.orig

Crie agora o arquivo sources.list somente com o conteúdo abaixo.

Claro que não instala nada, pois o Ubuntu 12.10 já não tem suporte e os repositórios já devem estar fora do ar.

-já havia passado essa dica , mas como vc insistia em usar uma distro sem suporte, o que não é recomendado, removi a resposta,mas atendo a pedidos:

1-se vc tem /raiz e /home separadas use esta dica:

2-se vc não tem... faça bkp de seus arquivos e instale o 14.04 que terá suporte até abril-2019
