Olá pessoal

Sempre q tento instalar algo da este erro (abaixo) que pode ser? como resolver?

dpkg: erro: não foi possível vasculhar diretório de atualizações '/var/lib/dpkg/updates/': Arquivo ou diretório não encontrado
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

Qual a versão do seu Ubuntu?
Como está seu sources.list:

Olá Amarildo

Antes de postar este erro, procurei sobre este erro fiz tudo que pediram neste forum e não deu certo continuo com o erro! qndo tento instalar ou update olha a mensagem:


W: Falhou ao buscar http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/gnome-terminal/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/source/Sources 404 Not Found

W: Falhou ao buscar http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/gnome-terminal/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found

E: Alguns arquivos index falharam ao ser baixados. Eles foram ignorados, ou cópias antigas são usadas ao invés.

yes. Olha uma dica, quando isso ocorre o que bem provável, pegue o endereço e cole na url do seu navegador e tente acessar.
O que eu quero dizer simples sources.list nada mais são do que repositórios hospedados e servidores que podem muito bem a vir a sair do ar, um boa maneira de descobrir é tentando acessa-los.

muito provavelmente em: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

dê um 'ls' nesse diretório e traga o resultado.

então rapaizzzzz faça isso:

$ sudo mkdir -p /etc/apt/ppas-desativadas
$ sudo mv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tualatrix-* /etc/apt/ppas-desativadas/
$ sudo apt-get update


* eu no seu lugar removeria essas coisas:

$ sudo rm -fv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tualatrix-*
$ sudo apt-get update


** mas cada caso é um caso.

sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

e quando abrir vá até penultima linha, apague(penultima linha) e salve, assim aperte, obs é a letra o e não zero: CTRL + O e depois CTRL + x

Deixe o sources.list como o que está abaixo:
