Primeiramente, gostaria de agradecer ao eu!noel! e ao albfneto pela ajuda na minha pergunta anterior.

Eu instalei o sistema, que está plenamente funcional.
Instalei o xorg-x11 conforme nossos amigos mencionados aí em cima me ensinaram.

Após instalar o xorg fiz:
# Xorg -configure

Porém deu erro.

Analisei e achei que o problema esta aqui:

(II) vmware: Using vmwlegacy driver everything is fine.

Porém fala que o modulo wmwgfx não pode ser carregado e o modulo vmwlegacy foi então carregado (provavelmente para substituir o primeiro), e estava tudo bem (everything is fine.)

Contudo deu:

precisa instalar todos os pacotes de xorg:

emerge -av xorg-x11 xorg-server xorg-driver

estão faltando coisas no seu xorg

citação:

"# emerge --update --deep --newuse world"

nÃO DEVE FAZER SEM TER O SISTEMA FUNCIONANDO é comando para atualizar e recompilar TUDO,só o fará com o que já está instalado, e não é o caso do xorg...
emerge tipo world em sistemas não compeltos ou quebrados, costuma não rodar e se rodar, costuma ficar pior ainda!

sobre seu make conf, está misturado com um DUPLO PARA GENTOO E funtoo (meu inclusive...) descomente a linha sync etc, modifiquei para melhorar um pouco deixe assim:

Vc está rodando o Gentoo dentro de uma maquina virtual ????

O único sistema que tem no pc é o gentoo, modo texto por enquanto.

Eu bootei o livecd do ubuntu 8 para poder visualizar de maneira mais satisfatória as páginas de internet, apesar de o elinks ser muito bom, e colher informações.

As informações foram colidas através do terminal do livecd, porém, eu fiz chroot no sistema copiei o log da falha e postei aí (sim, era só montar a partição e abrir o log com o editor de texto, mas, na hora, de tanto fazer chroot para instalar o gentoo, eu não me lembrei, rsrs).

Valeu!!!

cara, verifica se não falta nenhuma dependencia, vc está usando algum tipo de otimização não padrão?

quando eu mexia muito com otimizações, alguns aplicativos começavam a dar erros inesplicaveis, de ultimo caso reinstale o xorg

vc só gerou um novo xorg?? ou vc gerou e copiou corretamente

X -configure
cp /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf

ja que vc ja tinha gerado o xorg, não precisa gerar novamente, só se vc reinstalar o xorg

instale a versão mais atual

cara retire os drivers que voce não vai usar deixe o específico da sua placa o vesa e o fbdev e roda o Xorg -configure novamente vai resolver

aparentemente, falta muita coisa, estão faltando dependências,ele parece ainda não conseguir achar nem o driver correto de vídeo.
tem coisas de problemas de timezone, mas isto poderá resolver depois, instalando suporte ntp, ntpd, ntpupdate etc...

Minha sugestão... já fez um comando tipo:

emerge -s xorg
emerge -s xorg-drivers

para ver se seu xorg está completo, xorg server etc...?
outra coisa, tente simular e depois instalar um pequeno ambienete gráfico inicial, por exemplo um fluxbox:

emerge -s fluxbox marque os nomes dos pacotes
emerge -p fluxbox
emerge -av fluxbox

a idéia e tomar partido da capacidade do Portage de gerenciamento de dependências, é possível que ele baixe tudo o que necessita e "conserte" o X para vc.

mais uma sugestão... mande email ou mensagem,aqui no VOL, pro STILDRE e para o TRALOC (Rafael Umbelino), eles também são bons de Gentoo.

vc ja deve ter deixado no make.conf, os drivers como fbdev vesa e intel,por ex...
é Intel seu vídeo, não?

não reduziu MUITO as USE FLags? checar se estão faltando coisas.

o vmware, ele não acha o módulo no kernel, mas não há problema, vc não está usando VMWARE. vc deve ter usado kernel gentoo clássico,geral, aquele obtido da compilação do gentoo-sources. Depois de acertado,pode até otimizar o kernel, diminuir etc...

Filho se eu você vc faria :

# emerge -av xorg-server

via as variáveis USE e compilaria o xorg de novo usando as variáveis compatíveis para seu sistema.
depois faria como já foi indicado.

# X -configure
mv /root/xorg.conf.new xorg.conf
mv xorg.conf /etc/X11




10. DESCULPEM A DEMORA

Pessoal como disse anteriormente, já tinha instalado o xorg-x11:
# emerge xorg-x11

Que por sinal instalou o xorg-drivers e outros pacotes. Li sobre o xorg-server e vi que ele é uma versão mais leve e o xorg-x11 é um metapacote que instala mais coisas inclusive o xorg-server, só que este que ele instala é mais antigo. Descobri isso fazendo:
#emerge -S xorg

Fiz umas coisas aqui que me complicaram, vejam:
#emerge -C xorg-server
Atualizou o xorg-server do xorg-x11 e fez este ficar doidão, dando mais erros do que o mostrado no log acima.

Depois fiz:
#Xorg -configure // Deu um monte de erros como falei
#emerge xorg-x11
#Xorg -configure // mais erros

Desinstalei e instalei os pacotes do xorg, tentei com o xac (um pacote que descobri, ele faz a configuração automática do xorg.conf)
#emerge xac
#xac

Acredito que minha placa seja intel (tá obvio, mas, nesta altura do campeonato estou acreditando até em coelhinho da páscoa).

Neste momento estou usando o Sabayon 5.3 liveDVD e vou instalá-lo no HD, só para ter um sistema funcionando graficamente no meu pc. Não, não estou desistindo do gentoo, é apenas um paleativo, pois, este meu pc é usado por meus primos e irmãos e eles já não estão aguentando tantos dias sem acessar a internet.

Abaixo vou postar o meu make.conf e o log do xorg.

Como vocês podem perceber após as mudanças que eu fiz houve vários erros (EE) no log, no anterior não existia nenhum EE, mas estava escrito que que não pode ser carregado um modulo.


Eu não sei mais o que fazer, pensei em:
# emerge --update --deep --newuse world

Só não fiz ainda porque, além da demora, eu já reinstalei diversas vezes o xorg e agora neste log é como se ele não encontrasse os "caminhos" para os módulos, pois, eles estão instalados (o xorg-drivers está instalado).

Quanto ao meu kernel, eu gerei através do genkernel.
A última vez que eu compilei um kernel eu marquei todas as opções dele, isto mesmo, tudo, demorou um tempão e mais um tempão para compilar, bem eu queria que ele tivesse suporte a tudo.
Mas hoje, eu sei que não precisa e que o ideal é saber a configuração do pc e configurá-lo de forma correta.
Só usei usei o genkernel porque acredito que ele faça um bom trabalho, e também por ser um pouco leigo em compilação do kernel.

esse e o seu problema,
ter habilitado todas as opçoes do kernel tem varias opçoes que conflitam com outras e impedem o funcionamento do sistema ...
quanto tempo demorou para compilar isso ?
