Resolução do vídeo e audio não funciona

Caros,
Após instalar o Debian 5.07 netinstall, acho que imaginava que eu iria ter esses problemas mas infelizmente não estou conseguindo resolver. O da placa wireless até consegui.

O vídeo tá muito ruim, resolução da tela tá tosca e o aúdio não funciona aqui no notebook. Estou postando o lspci:

Para o vídeo, tem que tenatr trocar seu driver de vídeo Intel.
para o áudio.

rode o comando:

sudo alsaconf

e poste algo aqui, se acima, na esquerda, aparecer o termo, a palavra PULSEAUDIO

Bom, me sugeriram atualizar o Kernel, adicionando o repositório "sid", conforme explicação:

Ao iniciar utilizando o novo kernel, me parece que o som funciona. Mas o touchpad do mouse não responde, rede wireless também não.

Mas já de cara, ao voltar pro kernel 2.6.26-2, o Gerenciador de Atualizações do Debian já me informa 440 atualizações disponíveis. Presumo ser por conta do "sid".

E após baixar e instalar essas 440 atualizações... a rede wireless funciona mas não conecta. Ô beleza.

Ao executar alsaconf ele me retorna a mensagem:
No supported PnP or PCI card found

O que fazer? :(
