Problema com o comando "sudo apt-get update" Ubuntu 10.10 [RESOLVIDO]

Olá, estou tendo alguns problemas ao tentar atualizar o apt. Quando dou o comando "sudo apt-get update" ocorrem diversos erros 404. Aqui está o que volta no terminal:

Ubuntu 10.10 já está sem suporte há mais de 5 anos

Use 1604 que terá suporte até abril 2021 ou 18.04 que terá suporte até abril 2023

Cara, isso aí é um trabalho da escola. O professor pediu que usássemos a ISO que ele passou para instalar numa VM e fazer algumas configurações. No caso, não teria de nenhuma forma de atualizar o apt mesmo? Pois teria que usar essa versão

Informe ao seu professor que essa versão do Ubuntu já está obsoleta. Tente convencê-lo.

Use 16.04 ou 18.04

Dá para usar os repositórios old-releases ubuntu para instalar pacotes dos repositórios, mas não é o ideal: https://www.diolinux.com.br/2014/01/old-releases-mantenha-sua-versao-antiga-do-ubuntu-funcionando.ht...
